摘要: ABSTRACT Disc brake noise is recognized as a major problem of the automotive industry. Various experimental and numerical techniques have been developed to model noisy investigate possible solutions. Developing virtual disc which can accurately reproduce behavior unit under different conditions considerable step forward towards reaching this goal.Among various aspects analytical brake, application correct value damping based on material properties functional frequency range each component significant factor in ensuring prediction system behavior.Complex Eigenvalue Analysis well established tool for predicting instabilities potentially lead noise. However, it known over-predict i.e. predict do not occur real system. The over-prediction unstable modes thought be result insufficient compared with For reason, Finite Element needs tuned terms characteristics ensure that replicates system's behavior. This study aims tune components using data from an study. then compares instability predictions un-damped model, correlates them same when tested dynamometer. This intended minimize over-predicted instabilities.
