摘要: Abstract This study evaluated the application of micro- and ultrafiltration with ceramic membranes to separate biodiesel glycerol produced by ethyl transesterification degummed soybean oil. The experiments were carried out tubular α-Al2O3/TiO2 average pore diameter 0.2, 0.1 0.05 μm 20 kDa. used reaction mixture mass concentrations acidified water 10%, 20% 30%, transmembrane pressures 1.0, 2.0 3.0 bar temperature at 50 °C. By using concentration separation was efficient, but fouling retained phase on membrane surface led a sharp reduction flux over filtration time. 30% excessive in most aqueous containing has permeated through membrane. addition 10% water, besides reducing promoted retention glycerol, so that permeate had free content below 0.02%, maximum value specified for commercialization. is advantageous once it eliminates settling step reduces amount washing. properties have met standards required
