摘要: The availability of the sequence chimpanzee genome provides an opportunity to examine human genes and their orthologs analyze selective pressures that have been shaping olfactory receptor repertoire since human-chimpanzee divergence. We determined ratio nonsynonymous synonymous changes for each 186 orthologous pairs then examined how distribution these ratios compares with expected under neutral drift. Consistent diminishing importance olfaction species, we find no evidence positive selection weak purifying affecting over half repertoire.
