摘要: The present study describes the cytopathic effect of two different Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) vaccine virus strains presently being used in country, vero cells. (CPE) was visible from 4th day post infection Sungri strain where as Arasur showed CPE, 36-48 hr infection. With both CPE cells initial cell rounding, aggregation and syncytial development. generalized noticed by 6th 96 hrs strain. However complete detachment monolayer observed 120 hr, Infected coverslip cultures stained with H & E May Grunwald’s Giemsa vaculation, cytoplasmic extension syncytia comprising five to six nuclei. Acidophilic intracytoplasmic intranuclear inclusion bodies were also observed. Titers, HA activity detection s-ELISA are compared.
