摘要: Abstract Power-to-Gas (PtG), the generation of synthetic methane from renewable electricity via water electrolysis and methanation, is considered a promising long-term energy storage option. Within this paper we provide detailed PtG potential analysis using geographic infrastructural conditions German model region. To end, comprehensive spatial data region “Trier-Amprion 5” (TA5) in Rhineland-Palatinate (Rheinland-Pfalz) compiled. The requirements methanation facilities its chemical processes are identified; available sources carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), prerequisite for process, examined localised; locations quantified. combined information presented map showing restrictive favourable areas. Finally, first draught an applied method calculating capacities actual geographical regions.
