摘要: Increasing concentration of atmospheric green house gases such as carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) that traps solar energy within the atmosphere are being investigated in connection with warming planet and changes climatic conditions. Carbon emitted from point sources plays major role for climate change. The steel industry is one largest consuming manufacturing sectors accounting 3–5% global emissions. Mineral carbonation, involving carbonation calcium magnesium oxides slag fixes industrial waste. process parametric studies presented by varying particle size, stirrer speed, temperature pressures. maximum efficiency obtained was range 35-40% direct method. Similarly results using catalysts acetic acid, ammonium chloride indirect method well flue gas also presented. It observed 85–97% 50–55% gases. carbonated materials proposed to utilize development artificial reefs. Initial on test blocks immersed sea water discussed.
