摘要: This paper examines the interaction between hinterland access conditions and port competition. Competition ports is treated as competition alternate intermodal transportation chains, while are represented by both corridor facilities inland roads. We find that when compete in quantities, an increase capacity a region will its port’s output, reduce rival profit. On other hand, road may or not output profit, owing to various opposing effects. Essentially, more reduces local congestion delays moderates negative impact of expansion, it induces greater commuter traffic moderate effect which rise cargo traffic, Similarly, pricing Finally, case examples for selected regions discussed.
