摘要: In this study, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate blend were modified by incorporating different percentages of ultrahigh molecular weight (UHMWPE) ranging from 1 to 5 phr. Modified blends prepared melt mixing the PP/PET UHMWPE. Ultimate tensile strength UHMWPE filled was determined at 10, 20, 50, 100 mm/min cross head speeds testing. It found that increase speed 10 increases PP/PET/UHMWPE blends. Maximum ultimate is exhibited containing 2 phr Breaking strain unmodified increased with due highly entangled chain structure Shore A hardness also 341 356, which highest for High stress abrasive wear using Suga abrasion tester, model NUS-1 Japan. Wear rate PP/PET(90/10) having 1, 2, loads such as 3, 5, 7 N sliding distances 6.4 m 25.6 m. values show has prominent effect on Addition improved resistance loads, been explained basis bonding compared pure hardness. reduction achieved adding in blend.
