摘要: Background Coronary artery spasm has recently been reported as a complication of the ablation atrial fibrillation (AF). It may be induced by cardiac autonomic nervous dysfunction during radiofrequency catheter AF. However, underlying mechanism is not clear. We hypothesized that patients with paroxysmal AF coincidentally exhibit coronary spasm. Methods A total 51 were enrolled in case control study to clarify relationship between and spasm. evaluated 17 (AF group) 34 without (control group). Drug-induced provocation tests performed intracoronary administration acetylcholine or ergonovine. Results The group consisted nine males eight females, mean age 67 ± 10 years. The 16 18 60 14 In group, was 13 (76.5%) before ablation. three (8.8%). Coronary more frequently (76.5% vs 8.8%; odds ratio, 33.583; 95% confidence interval, 6.5732–171.58; P < 0.0001). ventricular recorded immediately after right induction one patient. Conclusions Paroxysmal have high positive rates drug-provoked Patients
