摘要: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a multifactorial disorder associated to increased risk for cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. Several mechanisms were proposed explain the association between occurrence of OSA dysfunction. One inflammatory response mediated especially by tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α). Patients with showed higher plasmatic, serum, intracellular levels TNF-α, which may be reduced after treatment continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Considering that TNF-α plays an important role in related morbidity, present review speculates if there any preventive measure, besides use CPAP, could minimize process consequently premature death dysfunctions. Thus, we hypothesized possible answer this question nutritional immunology profile, or rather, more precisely supplementation omega-3 fatty acids (omega-3 FAs) individuals OSA.
