摘要: Populations of fishes provide valuable services for billions people, but face diverse and interacting threats that jeopardize their sustainability. Human population growth intensifying resource use food, water, energy goods are compromising fish populations through a variety mechanisms, including overfishing, habitat degradation declines in water quality. The important challenges raised by these issues have been recognized led to considerable advances over past decades managing mitigating worldwide. In this review, we identify the major faced alongside recent helping address issues. There very significant efforts worldwide directed towards ensuring sustainable future world's fisheries those who rely on them. Although remain, drawing attention successful mitigation hope encouragement direction will allow be overcome future.
