摘要: The ARGONAUTE gene family is involved in the regulation of expression via RNAi Silencing Complex (RISC). microRNA (miRNA) are 20-22bp RNAs that direct RISC to target genes. Several miRNA have been characterized plants. Their roles include control flowering time, floral organ identity, cell division patterns, and leaf polarity. ARGONAUTE1 (AGO1) required for stem function polarity, as closely related protein PINHEAD/ZWILLE (PNH/ZLL). Through phenotypic double mutant analysis, we show AGO1 regulates SHOOT MERISTEMLESS (STM). CUPSHAPED COTYLEDONS1 2 (CUC1 CUC2) positively regulate STM targets miRNA. effect on polarity dependent, part, its role meristem revealed by interactions with ASYMMETRIC LEAVES1(AS1). full LEAFY (LFY), APETALA1 (AP1) AGAMOUS (AG). Flowering time unaffected but identity partially restored a curlyleaf (clf) background this not due clf's affects AG expression. CLF over expressed ago1, showing pathway polycomb-type epigenetic modifiers.
