摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine and follow the effect an acute bout exercise on residual volume (RV) other pulmonary function measurements over a 24-h post-exercise period, evaluate subsequent body composition calculations. Selected 12 male college students were collected prior at 5, 15, 30 min, 1, 2, 24 h post-exercise. RV significantly (P less than 0.01) increased 20.8% (260 ml), 16.8% (210 ml) 12.0% (150 min post-exercise, respectively. Total lung capacity (TLC) 2.7% (190 2.3% (160 5 15 Subsequent calculations, using data, resulted in lower relative fat measures, as compared pre-exercise value, through recovery. In conclusion, our data demonstrate apparent increases TLC immediately following maximal treadmill exercise; these remained values, recovery, It is recommended that measurement actual hydrostatic weighing procedure not be separated by exercise, protocols for long-term studies standardized.
