摘要: SummaryBackground The roles of soluble epoxide hydrolase and lipid mediators in inflammatory neuropathic pain could be relevant laminitis management. Objectives To determine (sEH) activity the digital laminae, sEH inhibitor potency vitro, efficacy a as an adjunct analgesic therapy chronic laminitic horses. Study design In vitro experiments clinical case series. Methods sEH was measured laminae from euthanised healthy horses (n = 5-6/group). Potency seven synthetic inhibitors determined using equine liver cytosol. One them (t-TUCB; 0.1 mg/kg bwt i.v. every 24 hours) selected based on stability, used 10 with severe (Obel grades 2, one horse; 3-4, 9 horses). Daily assessments forelimb lifts, scores, physiologic laboratory examinations were performed before (baseline) during t-TUCB treatment. Data are presented mean ± s.d. 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results sEH (0.9 0.6 nmol/min/mg; CI: 0.16-1.55 nmol/min/mg) significantly greater (P 0.01) than (0.17 0.09 0.07-0.26 nmol/min/mg). up to days (4.3 3 days) associated significant reduction lifts (36 22%; 9-64%) scores (18 23%; 2-35%) compared baseline 0.04). horse developed gas colic another corneal vascularisation blind eye No other changes observed. Main limitations Absence control group evaluator blinding series. Conclusions sEH is higher actively horses, use potent appears decrease signs pathologic horses. This article protected by copyright.
