摘要: Native palm trees fruit from the Amazonian rainforest, Oenocarpus bacaba and bataua, are very often used in diet of local communities, but biological activities their roots leaflets remain poorly known. Total phenolic content (TPC) antioxidant activity root leaflet extracts bataua were assessed by using different chemical assays, oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC), 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical-scavenging ferric-reducing ability plasma (FRAP). Cellular cytotoxicity also measured Normal Human Dermal Fibroblasts. The polyphenolic composition was investigated LC-MSn. more than extracts, being at least as potent Euterpe oleracea berries known superfruit. characterized hydroxycinnamic acids (caffeoylquinic caffeoylshikimic acids), while contained mainly caffeoylquinic C-glycosyl flavones. These results suggest that both species could be valorized a new non-cytotoxic source antioxidants Amazonia, containing flavonoids, pharmaceutical, cosmetic or agri-food industry.
