摘要: The gain of the vacuum‐ultraviolet xenon‐dimer laser was evaluated by employing a double‐pass technique with spectral filtering probe radiation. At wavelength center continuum‐emission spectrum (λ0 ?1720 A), net‐gain coefficient at pressures less than 1.1×104 Torr found to be g0= (1.05±0.2) ×10−25Ps cm−1, where Ps is spontaneous‐emisssion intensity band in units photons/sec cm3. By comparison laser‐output waveforms temporally resolved measurements, it shown that limited an unidentified time‐dependent loss mechanism either foreign excited medium or driven While we do not know source this mechanism, our observations show associated lasing states xenon dimer. very high (≳1.3×104 Torr) effects photoscattering background were reduce value g0.
