摘要: We provide an analysis of the influence instrument polarization sensitivity on radiance measured by spaceborne ocean color sensors. Simulated examples demonstrate retrieval water-leaving reflectance ρw. A simple method for partially correcting sensitivity—replacing linear properties top-of-atmosphere reflectance with those from a Rayleigh-scattering atmosphere—is provided and its efficacy is evaluated. It shown that this scheme improves ρw retrievals as long does not vary strongly band to band. Of course, complete polarization-sensitivity characterization sensor required implement correction.
