摘要: The success of recycling collection programs has resulted in an over-supply broken glass, or cullet, many parts the country. To open construction aggregate market, a multistate and industry evaluation glass as was conducted. study defines suitability cullet terms its engineering performance, environmental impact, cost comparability with natural aggregates, safety handling. analysis concludes that aggregate, is strong, clean, safe, economical. From standpoint, appears to be excellent supplement replacement for aggregates applications. Comprehensive tests were performed specific gravity, gradation, workability, durability, compaction, permeability, thermal conductivity, shear strength. effects debris level, content percentage size also investigated. When compacted dense state, material rigid strong. test data indicate under normal working stresses, moduli strength samples are similar those aggregate. In case 1/4-in. minus adding can even increase rigidity Compaction curves tend become flatter increases, implying maximum dry density relatively insensitive respect moisture. this means wet weather.
