摘要: The utilization of recycled glass in highway applications has been occurring over the past couple decades. In recent years, discovery several economic and environmental benefits could increase use construction, making evaluation engineering properties aggregate mixes necessary. uses have varied widely, depending on specific application. Crushed glass, or cullet, used independently, also blended with natural stone construction at different replacement rates. This research provides an potential cullet when combination base course for roadway construction. studied strength moisture/density characteristics blends to examine effects blending into aggregate. Two sources were tested; one being crusher run very angular nature other pit-run rounded nature. was introduced rates 10%, 20%, 30%. Four maximum sizes tested, ranging from 3/4” 3/8”. glass-aggregate evaluated using AASHTO T190-Resistance R-value Test. Analysis data showed that mixed more (LAF) performed consistently than combined (STAR) all LAF had average values above slightly lower control mix across sizes.
