摘要: Oxidative species, including reactive oxygen species (ROS), are components of normal cellular metabolism and required for intracellular processes as varied proliferation, signal transduction, apoptosis. In the situation chronic oxidative stress, however, ROS contribute to various pathophysiologies involved in multiple stages carcinogenesis. head neck cancers specifically, many common risk factors carcinogenesis via ROS-based mechanisms, tobacco, areca quid, alcohol, viruses. Given their widespread influence on process carcinogenesis, related pathways attractive targets intervention. The effects radiation therapy, a central component treatment nearly all cancers, can also be altered interfering with pathways. These relevant development benign oral diseases. this review, we outline how pathophysiology focus toward diseases, describing potential intervention that exploit role these pathologic processes.
