摘要: Context and Objective: Estrogen sulfotransferase (EST) catalyzes the inactivation of estrone estradiol in numerous tissues. Animal studies suggest that EST modulates glucose lipid metabolism adipose tissue, but it is unknown whether expressed human tissue and, if so, how its expression relates to features metabolic syndrome. Design Participants: Cross-sectional data from 16 obese men women with dysregulation were collected as part a larger randomized trial at an academic medical center. Outcome Measures: Participants underwent assessment body composition, oral tolerance testing, measurement serum hormones inflammatory markers, sc fat biopsy assess TNF-α, suppressor cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3), leptin, adiponectin, EST.
