摘要: Abstract A crucial factor in the success of protected areas and conservation efforts general is support amongst adjacent community. It thought to be especially for small MPAs. Whilst importance community has been highlighted a number studies, it not yet clearly defined or explicitly studied. Questionnaires were carried out (N=166) at three different villages within Visayas region Philippines determine individuals׳ towards MPAs individual characteristics that have previously hypothesised influence support. Multiple regressions analysis determined: (1) Which individual-level factors predict attitude MPAs, (2) whether attitudes individuals are related actions benefit MPA (3) community-level better predictors local community-based Knowledge objectives, perceived participation decision making, trust other fishers differences between all significantly predicted Weak relationships found certain due contextual factors. Village was only significant predictor both actions; irrespective villages, also important predicting MPA. This study highlights distinguishing suggests specific can vital influencing
