Pozzolanic Characterization of Cuban Bamboo Leaf Ash: Calcining Temperature and Kinetic Parameters

摘要: The paper presents a study of the pozzolanic activity Cuban bamboo leaf ash. To evaluate conductometric method was used, which is based on measurement variation in electrical conductivity ash (BLAsh)/lime solution with reaction time. Later, kinetic parameters (in particular, rate constant and free energy activation) are quantified by applying kinetic-diffusive model. quantitatively evaluated according to values obtained parameters. Other experimental techniques, such as X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscopy, complement results coming from method, were applied. Also, reports influence calcining temperature (500, 600 700 °C) activation leaves. show good properties ashes for temperatures between 500 °C, only little difference function BLAsh calcined at °C showed highest activity.
