摘要: Congenital heart disease is the most common form of all congenital malformations and, despite advances in prenatal and newborn screening, it may present undiagnosed to emergency department. Signs symptoms are variable often nonspecific, making recognition treatment challenging. Patient presentations can range from life-threatening shock or cyanosis a neonate respiratory distress failure thrive infants. Advances surgical techniques have improved short- long-term survival infants children with disease, but these at risk for variety complications related underlying anatomy physiology. This review focuses on initial management patients presenting ED touches considerations postoperative complex disease.
