摘要: The yield performance of cowpea var. Minica # 4 (Vigna unguiculata L.) on an Arenic Paleudult (Acrisol) was evaluated in alley cropping experiment with Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Kunth ex Walp., Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit and a treeless control during short- (November-December 2004), long-(May-June 2005) rainy season at Ebini, Guyana. treatments had no significant effect plant height, pods per plant, pod weight grain weight. During the short-rainy season, values for height number were higher compared to those long-rainy positively correlated correspondingly higher. Plant vs. plant; weight; and, weight, all posi- tively correlated. Cowpea could same or more when associated managed fast growing, nitrogen (N)-fixing trees plots. This practice has potential reduce use fossil-fuel generated fertilizers production important greenhouse gas (GHG).
