摘要: Corticobasal syndrome (CBS) is a sporadic tauopathy that manifests by various combination of motor and cognitive deficits, which makes its diagnosis challenging. Treatment CBS symptomatic based on evidence from other similar disorders due to the lack studies CBS. The aim study was investigate low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) as therapeutic tool in Twenty-six patients with clinically evident according Cambridge criteria were followed for 12–18 months while receiving rTMS combined pharmacological, rehabilitation treatment botulinum toxin injection. majority are manifested akinetic-rigid dysfunction. There improvement UPDRS quality life after 3 months interventions (P < 0.001 <0.05, respectively). No significant deterioration functions detected over period. reduction caregiver burden (P < 0.01); this maintained up 18 months. Cognitive dysfunction frequent manifestation can benefit multidisciplinary approach employing rTMS.
