摘要: Obesity has become an epidemic worldwide. It is accompanied by a multitude of medical complications including metabolic syndrome. may lead to fatty infiltration multiple internal organs liver, heart, kidney, and pancreas, causing organ dysfunctions. Fatty leads chronic inflammation tissue damage. in the liver results nonalcoholic disease, which increasingly common nowadays. Recent studies animals humans indicate that obesity also associated with gallbladder, resulting cholecystosteatosis. The increased gallbladder lipids include free acids, phospholipids, triglycerides. Enhanced amount fat abnormal wall structure decreased contractility. In support this notion, recent experiment on effect Ezetimibe, novel drug inhibits intestinal absorption, disease reveals Ezetimibe can ameliorate cholecystosteatosis restore vivo proportion cholecystectomies performed for acalculous cholecystitis significantly over past two decades. An increase fat, poor emptying biliary symptoms, partly explain phenomenon. Although dietary carbohydrates have been demonstrated be other potential modifiable environmental factors are not clear. pathogenesis prognosis steatocholecystitis, relations steatohepatitis, components syndrome largely unknown. More research needed answer these questions.
