摘要: Estimates of crown transparency calculated using the semi-automatic image analysis system CROCO were compared with visual estimates survey teams from 12 European countries. For each five species (Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.), silver fir (Abies alba Mill.), Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.), beech (Fagus sylvatica oak (Quercus robur L.)) 15 trees assessed. In 64% comparisons, and teams' scores differed significantly, while differences between countries significant in 58% all comparisons. We Spearman's rank correlation standard deviation country pairs then computed medians for country. only a few had higher median lower than comparison addition no consistently or CROCO. conclude that can provide more consistent less variable assessments it serve as reference to detect over time.
