摘要: Breast cancer is the most common neoplasm which frequently diagnosed in women. One eight women carries a risk of developing breast tumor her life time. Similarly, mammary tumors non-spayed female dogs are even more frequent, whereby; one three its Ovarian hormones very important this context as they involved normal development well neoplastic transformations gland. Among them progesterone an factor for canine progestins known to induce gland hyperplasia and gland-derived growth hormone (GH) excess dogs. Downstream mechanism action far from being fully resolved. It generally believed that acts on target tissue paracrine manner by producing local factors. The main aim thesis was improve understanding molecular events tumorigenesis with special emphasis role progesterone. In order develop laboratory tool necessary characterizing tumors, new specific cDNA microarray could quantify expression 20000 genes developed. Microarray validated quantifying basal gene cell lines. This study also identified various altered biological pathways these lines may contribute our biology. mouse gland, Wnt4, ligand Wnt signaling reported be downstream induced synthetic progestins. We quantified, activity lines, progestin-induced spontaneous tumors. From we conclude that, observed canonical due overexpression ligands signaling. Further, progesterone-induced were characterized using microarray. serve potential markers and/or therapeutic targets. Gene profile many including factors potentially indueced progestin. Taken together, prolonged exposure during luteal phase, through locally produced such hormones, stimulate stem cells. lead early event oncogenic transformation. Ligands singling consistently established overexpressed treated tissues. relation between pathway currently investigated project.
