摘要: Objective: An investigation of the effect prophylactic ocular hypotensive therapy in early postoperative period after extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) using 2 different viscoelastic materials. Study Design: A prospective, randomized, single masked study measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) before surgery and at day 1 7 surgery. Setting: Department Ophthalmology, Holbaek Hospital, Denmark. Patients: Ninety-eight consecutive patients (eyes) were operated on either Healon® 1% or Methylcellulose 2% as agent. Main Outcome Measures: Early IOP complications. Results: was significantly decreased postoperatively ( P >0.05. At elevations to>21 mmHg seen eye Healon group (22 mmHg) 4 eyes methylcellulose (22, 23, 24 25 mmHg). Elevations not 7. Operative complications low comparable. Conclusion: treatment end during 1st hours seems to eliminate adverse period, irrespective which agents used.
