摘要: Abstract Healon® has been used in a prospective study as surgical device for two cataract methods. The comprised 80 patients divided into groups. In each group Healon and balanced salt solution (BSS) was randomly applied age-matched patient subgroups. procedures were intracapsular extraction (ICCE) with corneoscleral incision ICCE corneal incision. is shown to have protective effect on the cornea judged by thickness measurements endothelial cell counts. facilitated procedure several ways. No side effects, either regard intraocular pressure or postoperative inflammatory reaction observed.
