摘要: Earth is teeming with taxonomically, phylogenetically, and metabolically highly diverse micro-organisms; organisms that are crucial for sustaining life on our planet in they carry out processes of great biogeochemical significance. The mechanisms underlying their diversity distribution are, thus, interest, yet—despite importance—only poorly understood.
