摘要: Abstract Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive and often fatal form of interstitial lung disease. Despite extensive efforts in research during recent years, the mechanisms disease remain poorly understood. Evidence an inflammatory mechanism, both supportive contrary, briefly reviewed this paper. However, growing evidence has indicated that apoptosis alveolar epithelial cells (AECs) may be early driving force progression, with subsequent disrupted integrity alveolar-capillary basement membrane leading to abnormal wound healing pathway. Thus, paper will focus on outlining process pathogenesis IPF from initial AECs end remodeling.
