摘要: Hippocampus is involved in the processing of cognitive and emotional information/and these functions are topographically distributed along hippocampal dorso-ventral (septo-temporal) axis. The dorsal hippocampus (DH, septal part) responsible for function (learning, memory), while ventral (VH, temporal control anxious behaviors. aim this review to analyze results studies published since 2010 dealing with differences between DH VH potentially related involvement dysfunction development psychopathologies. data analyzed from perspective their translational validity. Studies on rodent models stress depression during last 5 years attempt find fundamental links stress, psychiatric diseases changes VH. key systems (corticosteroid receptors, neurotransmitter systems, neurotrophins, neurogenesis/plasticity/LTP) confirm specific psychopathologies suggest signal transduction pathways molecules relevant adaptive representing candidate targets correction and/or prevention diseases.
