摘要: Tissue culture plastic adhesivity was precisely varied by applying different concentrations of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate). The extent cell spreading thus accurately controlled so that cells cultured on these substrata could be held at any one a graded series quantitated shapes. Cell shape found to tightly coupled DNA synthesis and growth in nontransformed cells. These findings suggest mechanism is important control mammalian cells, provide more fundamental interpretation such phenomena as density dependent inhibition anchorage dependence.
