Unsaturated Oligoquinanes and Related Systems

摘要: Fully unsaturated oligoquinanes comprise a class of fused five-membered ring compounds which contain extended π-systems with interesting electronic properties. This rigid molecules contains planar, bowl- and even ball-shaped structures, their strain energy increases for each additionally ring. The first three members this family, fulvene, pentalene acepentalene have been synthesized or at least generated, whereas all higher were only approached studied by computational methods. In review the fully — ranging from fulvene to C20-fullerene is presented respect syntheses Also, related similar structural features will be discussed, not highlighted in previous volumes series [1, 2].
