摘要: Abstract The clinical use of an intravenous opioid testing can help to predict whether opioids will be beneficial. determination individual responsiveness justifies subsequent long-term treatment and is generally recommended. An overview over current procedures given with particular regard choice opioid, maximum dose, endpoints duration recovery. Remifentanil a new approch studied in randomized placebo-controlled cross-over study 24 patients suffering from severe non-cancer pain. ascending infusion remifentanil placebo respectively was titrated against endpoints. allowed disctinction between 11 opioid-responders 13 non-responders. Complete recovery after end rapid reach baseline conditions 25 min all patients. Thus the complete procedure required at utmost 1 h. In conclusion, offers more allowing routine ambulatory setting.
