摘要: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a secreted angiogenic mitogen whose target cell specificity appears to be restricted vascular cells. Such factors are likely candidates for regulatory molecules involved in control. We have characterized the murine VEGF gene and analysed its expression pattern embryogenesis, particularly during brain angiogenesis. Analysis of cDNA clones predicted existence three molecular forms which differ size due heterogeneity at carboxy terminus protein. The mature proteins consist 120, 164 or 188 amino acid residues. Homodimers two lower weight forms, but not higher form, were by COS cells transfected with corresponding cDNAs equally potent stimulating During development, transcript levels abundant ventricular neuroectoderm embryonic postnatal when proliferate rapidly reduced adult proliferation has ceased. temporal spatial consistent hypothesis that synthesized released may induce ingrowth capillaries from perineural plexus.
