摘要: Publisher Summary Isomers of retinol, retinal, and retinyl esters play a crucial role in the visual cycle vertebrate neural retina retinal pigment epithelium, efficient methods for extraction analysis retinoid isomers are essential study aspects vitamin A metabolism. This chapter discusses utilization high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method. isocratic HPLC method resolves allows estimation total esters. The outlines separate determination ester isomer composition. chromatographic outlined provides separation oxime from any which might remain underivatized, it also separates all 11-cis all-trans retinol each other 9-cis 13-cis isomers. Although syn -13- cis -retinal -9- not resolved, 9- - 13- oximes may be estimated corresponding anti that well separated.
