摘要: Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of once-daily, extended-release tolterodine on urinary urgency in patients with overactive bladder. Methods Patients frequency (eight or more micturitions per 24 hours) and urge incontinence (five episodes week) were randomized to oral treatment extended release 4 mg once daily (n = 398) placebo 374) for 12 weeks. Efficacy was assessed by use patient perception evaluations. Results The results presented are a secondary analysis this double-blind, placebo-controlled study. Of treated release, 44% reported improved symptoms (compared 32% placebo), 62% bladder (placebo, 48%) (both P Conclusion Tolterodine has demonstrable efficacy reducing severity is associated improvements that meaningful patients.
