Process for making surfactant capped metal oxide nanocrystals, and products produced by the process

摘要: Disclosed is a process for making surfactant capped nanocrystals of metal oxides which are dispersable in organic solvents. The comprises decomposing cupferron complex the formula MxCupx, wherein M metal, and Cup N-substituted N-Nitroso hydroxylamine, presence coordinating surfactant, reaction being conducted at temperature ranging from about 150 to 400 C, period time sufficient complete reaction. Also disclosed compounds made by process.
