摘要: Abstract Revenue forecasting is an important topic for management to track business performance and support related decision making processes (e.g. headcount or capital expenditure). It focuses on how a recognises operating revenue, which can differ from the point at sales order won. Whilst there are many publications detailing theory, in context these largely focus recognition alone. This paper describes development of revenue tool appropriate service provision. The organisation involved will remain anonymous commercial reasons but be referred as “Organisation A”. targeted outcome was extend forecast window one month three months with error rate no more than ±10%. required consolidate supporting data, adopt analysis/projection techniques specific complex environment. resulting returned high level results that were aligned original targets, developed components using combination projection approaches limited industry trial, provides useful reference businesses basis further research opportunities extended analysis within other industries.
