摘要: Abstract Titanium alloys are widely used in fabrication of certain medical products because their superior properties. However, titanium difficult to cut, low thermal conductivity and high sustainability work hardening at elevated temperature. Therefore, machining involves lots difficulties especially ultra-precision machining. On the other hand, an increase material removal rate (MRR) always reduces surface quality, leading infeasibility MRR alloys. In this study, a novel technology, magnetic field was firstly applied into single point diamond turning (SPDT), which aims enhance both quality machined without requiring complicated equipment extra natural resources. Under influence field, tool life SPDT were improved significantly when relatively MRR. Furthermore, assessment demonstrated by product index (ProdSI), ProdSI reflects comprehensive views on triple bottom line (TBL) sustainability: economic, environmental social dimensions. components presence 2.39 higher than that normal SPDT, suggesting enhancement proposed technology. The technology provides solid way production precise level alloy for promoting sustainable manufacturing.
