摘要: The removal of C.I. Acid Orange 7 (AO7) from aqueous solution under UV irradiation in the presence ZnO nanopowder has been studied. average crystallite size powder was determined XRD pattern using Scherrer equation range 33 nm. experiments showed that and light had a negligible effect when they were used on their own. effects some operational parameters such as pH, amount initial dye concentration also examined. photodegradation AO7 enhanced by addition proper hydrogen peroxide, but it inhibited ethanol. From inhibitive ethanol, deducted hydroxyl radicals played significant role dye. kinetic can be explained terms Langmuir-Hinshelwood model. values adsorption equilibrium constant, K(AO7), rate constant surface reaction, k(c), 0.354(mg l(-1))(-1) 1.99 mg l(-1)min(-1), respectively. electrical energy consumption per order magnitude for photocatalytic degradation lower UV/ZnO/H(2)O(2) process than UV/ZnO process. Accordingly, could stated complete color, after selecting desired achieved relatively short time, about 60 min.
