Synthesis, characterization, low temperature solid state PL and photocatalytic activities of Ag2O·CeO2·ZnO nanocomposite

摘要: A novel multi-metal nanocomposite oxide Ag2O·CeO2·ZnO has been prepared by co-precipitation of their carbonates from aqueous solutions the metal nitrates following calcinations and annealing 5h at 450°C 4h 600°C. characterized XRD, SEM, EDS PL spectra. According to XRD results crystallite size varies in range 19-111 nm with an average 50 nm, which is good agreement SEM results. Elemental analysis was performed SEM-EDS. Emissions observed UV (NBE emission), visible NIR regions 325 excitation a line He-Cd laser. Photocatalytic as well anti-bacterial activities have studied. The nano composite shows excellent photocatalytic dye degradation activity.
