摘要: In recent years, with the application of genotyping technology, there has been a substantial increase in number reported blood group alleles. This survey was designed to evaluate new molecular methods and compile reference data sets for Polynesian Maori subjects. Subsequent analyses these results were used calculate probability random match, trace ancestry migration patterns reveal past present episodes genetic admixture. Genomic DNA samples from subjects drawn Victoria University Wellington Bank genotyped using combination commercial PCR-SSP kits, hybridization SNP assay services or sequence-based typing. also involves compilation serological ABO Rhesus RakaiPaaka Iwi tribal members comparison those generated during our study. We observed perfect consistency between obtained all genotyping. The A, O, DCcEe, DCCee, MNs, K-k+, Jk(a+b-), Jk(a+b+), Fy(a+b-), Fy(a+b+), Di(a+b-), Co(a+b-) Do(a-b+) predominant phenotypes both Polynesians Maori. Overall, show only small differences distributions groups their subgroups. These might be associated selection, population history gene flow Europeans. each case, we estimate that patients certain have very low an exact phenotypic even if randomly transfused donors own ethnicity. best way avoid haemolytic transfusion reaction such cases is perform pretransfusion cross-match recruit increased numbers rare phenotype profiles. conclusion this study method covering as many known variants possible may help improve accuracy potentially conserve routine requirements centres.
