摘要: Abstract A rat model of hypertensive cardiomyopathy was studied to evaluate the acute effects cocaine on myocardium. Using autoradiographic microimaging techniques, myocardial perfusion ( 201 Tl) and energy substrate utilization (glucose: [ 14 C]2-fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose—[ C]2DG fatty acid (15-[ p -iodophenyl]) -3- R,S -methyl pentadecanoic acid—[ 131 I]BMIPP) were in Dahl strain salt-sensitive normotensive rats with without intravenous cocaine. The right ventricle, septum, endocardium epicardium left ventricle analyzed. Increased (18%) seen myocardium as compared rats. There higher (254%) lower (13.2%) uptake rats, indicative a shift from aerobic anaerobic utilization. In cocaine-treated generalized decrease (30%) increased glucose metabolism (89%) seen. (16%) heterogeneous more pronounced septum epicardium. showed an overall increase (23%) after which not dramatic heart slight These results are consistent prior observations that under pressure overload responds non-uniformly. It may well be cardiomyopathic is unable respond challenge by further increasing data obtained animal hypertension seem indicate risk cardiac complications related
