摘要: Aim : Short-term efficacy of glimepiride, metformin and pioglitazone in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes was compared with a group treated diet exercise. Effects on insulin secretion sensitivity were also assessed. Methods New diabetic subjects, aged 30-60 years BMI< 30 kg/m selected. Subjects having glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA 1 c) < 8.5% advised exercise (control group). Others HbA c ≥ 8.5 to 11.0% randomized receive glimepiride (group 2), 3) 4). At the final review between 12-14 weeks, changes plasma glucose, c, lipid profile, HOMA resistance (HOMA-IR), β cell function (HOMA-BF) insulinogenic index (∆ I/G) measured. Comparisons made using appropriate statistical analyses. Results Seventy-seven 97 subjects equally into four groups, available for review. Glycaemic parameters improved all groups. Mean cholesterol decreased significantly groups pioglitazone. HDL-cholesterol increased Insulin pioglitazone, showed improvement. Conclusions control seen study improvement better drug than group. Glimepiride including early phase reduced triglycerides. Metformin had beneficial effects levels, also. ©
