摘要: The application of scanning electron microscopy to gunshot residue particle detection requires a field sampling kit that can be used dependably by nonscientific personnel. developed the authors uses adhesive tape on aluminum stubs sample suspect's hands. evolved from prototypes were subjected extensive tests. Comments users pinpointed various shortcomings eliminated; final version is suitable for rapid, straightforward in often hectic environment which officers must operate. also compact, durable, and inexpensive; it thus especially large-scale fabrication, issue, use regular basis.
