摘要: This study is aimed at compiling the toxicological aspects of organochlorine compounds (OCCs) including pesticides among different animal models. Tests on species like Mean Probable Effect Concentration Quotient (PEC-Q) test, DNA repair assays and histopathological examinations have shown positive results for toxicity pesticides. The were observed animals fishes, furseals, frogs, rats, bats humans. In endosulfan found to acute toxicities. Similarly, organophosphorus, synthetic pyrethroids microbial insecticides also show their toxic effects. Some such as lambda-cyhalothrin showed a very high fish followed by fenvalerate, deltamethrin cypermethrin. Exposure OCCs can impart foe cell death inducing Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase Pathway (MAPK) which associated with growth differentiation apoptosis. On studying genotoxic effects germ cells mouse, it was that lethal mutation occur just after one mating interval. Increase in number micronucleated has been seen OCC exposure. Neuro-behavioural studies rats presence tremors caused chlordecone p,p’DDT. Tumorigenicity be an epigenetic mechanism assay. Acute poisoning liver, kidney testis albino rat due effect dursban DDT. Great declines populations species. Direct indirect exposure these should reduced so minimize possible health hazards.
